KADIMA. by Philips Chiamaka

KADIMA   There are times when certain things happen to us, and then because of the depressing feeling it gives, we refuse to rise from the spot, we refuse to move on;  and many at times we give up on the things we really  wished we could stand up for including ourselves. We  keep reflecting in the past, forgetting to live in the present, planning for the future; well, we admit that sometimes we really wished we could forget them all, but for certain reasons that we can’t explain, it’s just  not easy forgetting. Something happens to make us stronger and it’s left to us to man-up to these challenges and storm out  victorious. Victories do not come by accident after  all; they are worked and planned for. And so you feel used all your life, you think life doesn’t just stop throwing bricks at you, Hey! KADIMA. You’ve lost the ones so closed to your heart and you really wished you could bring them back, and many times you feel that no matter how  hard you try, you just keep failing……

THE END. by Philips Chiamaka

THE END   So it’s blissful and she just got started, well there is so much in stock for her: friends, spouse, wealth, kids, anything worth calling good. The race so tough and competitive. She struggled every now and then to meet up the pace. JUST A MOMENT MORE AND SHE GETS TO HER DREAMS. They couldn’t continue, they had their best, it wasn’t yet enough; I barely got there, I almost gave up, but NO! Not yet? No, not yet, not now until I’m so satisfied, they might be gone but I’m not fated to be left out. JUST A LITTLE WHILE AND I’M DONE. It is thus, she survived, she made it, she’s so proud like she almost made the finish line. Behind her was a lot who thought she wouldn’t get there, but guess what? She surprised them, she made it with the family, they were only three-quarter away. JUST A MOMENT MORE AND GETS TO HER DREAMS. Fun, laughter with the people, I’ve known to be family, even if we weren’t related blood- tight. We got through every phase of our simil

Reconditioning Your Subconscious Mind

Image
We often define ourselves by the mental chatter that goes on constantly inside our heads. By our thoughts, we have ideas of who we are and what everything around us means. And the only way that you can begin to recondition your subconscious mind for success is by detaching yourself from the idea that you are your thoughts. Feelings of success, mindfulness and happiness come from the realization that thoughts come and go of their own accord—that you are not your thoughts . You can watch as your thoughts appear in your mind, almost from thin air, and watch again as they disappear, like a soap bubble bursting. Your thoughts come and they go, and ultimately, you have a choice about whether to act on them or not. If you have been operating on autopilot for a while, you’ve probably settled into a nice groove, and it takes some serious effort to change that. It's sort of like how you feel on a cold winter morning, while you're nestled in between your warm sheets, when the thought

USING OUR LEGAL TOOTH TO REDUCE CORRUPTION

Image
A write up by ABDULGANIY .O. ABDULGANIY a student of Law at Lagos State University. USING OUR LEGAL TOOTH TO REDUCE CORRUPTION The word ‘corruption’ has been the topic of argument amongst Nigeria scholars, elites and the unlettered as the problem of Nigeria. Corruption originated from the Greek word ‘corruptus’ which means ‘derived.’ According to black law dictionary, corruption is defined as ‘a vicious and fraudulent intention to evade the prohibitions of the law; something against or forbidden by law ; moral turpitude or exactly opposite of honesty involving intentional disregard of law from improper motives’ in other words, it the act of an official or fiduciary person unlawfully and wrongfully uses his station  character to procure  some benefit for himself or for another  person, contrary to duty and the rights of others. Corruption can be divided into two; financially induced corruption and structurally induced corruption. Financially induced corruption can be s

3 Ways to Judge Dreams and Visions

Image
In Joel 2:28, God promised, “I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions.” Dreams and visions are two ways God speaks to His children. Throughout Scripture, God uses them to free the downtrodden, liberate nations and turn hearts back to Him. Dreams and Visions in the Bible The word dream appears 87 times in the Old Testament and eight times in the New Testament. Similarly, the word vision appears 86 times in the Old Testament and 17 in the New Testament. While the notion of divine dreams and visions may seem unusual to us, it’s not unusual to God. Just look at how He spoke through dreams and visions to many leaders and prophets under the Old Covenant: Abraham –Genesis 15 Jacob –Genesis 46 Samuel –1 Samuel 3 Nathan –2 Samuel 7 Ezekiel –Ezekiel 1, 8, 11, 37 and 43 Daniel –Daniel 7. Then, under the New Covenant, God spoke through dreams and visions to: Peter, James and Jo

Nailing Down the Financial Strategy Before Marriage

Image
Within the orbit of my discussion today with some ladies, I find out to believe in this theory . Economic and financial issues probably cause more marital problem than any other area. Continual disagreements over money or financial management practices cause serious hurt and injury to any relationship. Long before they say they say "I DO" couples should discuss and nail down the financial strategy they will take into marriage. 1. Will husband alone work outside the home, or will both husband and wife work? 2. Will they work a job as an employee of someone else or will they start their own business? 3. In economic affairs, will both partner know how much they earn? 4. Will the responsibility of the expense base on both partner or a partner (paying the light bill, puting the gas in the car, rent payment, investment,  insurance children fees, "the main starting point of the discussion" hair-plaiting etc)? But my conclusion on this is that,  there is no room
